The paper is devoted to present some properties of the set which is called the Cantor set. Tle Cantor set is very important in mathematics and plays a fundamental role in a lot of mathematical reasonings. On the other hand the Cantor set is an example of the socalled fractal, so it is a set that finds applications in economic sciences, according to recent studies. In the present paper we give such properties of the Cantor set which can be described in a simple way by geometric and algebraic language. Moreover, those properties are quite surpris-ing and they distingnish the Cantor set from other ones considered in mathematics.
