The goal of the paper was an analysis of the division of the national income performer on the base of a model proposed by Samuelson. That model is based on the use of the theory of difference equations. It was shown in the paper that the mentioned model of Samuelson leads to a linear difference equation of the second order, inhomogeneous.
In the presented paper the comprehensive analysis of the behaviour of solutions of the obtained difference equation was conducted. That analysis was performed on the base of an economic interpretation of the behaviour of those solutions.
Moreover, there was considered some generalization of the Samuelson model connected with a concrete economic situation. There was conducted also the analysis of the behaviour of solutions of a difference equation modelling that generalized situation.
